Our Pastor ~ Dr. Steven V. Terry

II Tim. 4:2 ~ "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine."
Dr. Steven V. Terry is the founder and pastor of Deliverance Tabernacle Church, located in Chesapeake, Virginia. He has faithfully served this ministry and the community since its inception in March, 1990. He is the husband of Victoria and the father of three children:  Olivia, SeanReece & Halee. His goal is and has always been to reconcile fallen man to our Heavenly Father, God. The messages taught each week are filled with love, hope, compassion and warnings from God.  

Dr. Terry is a 1981 graduate of Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach, VA. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Jameson Christian College and a Masters in Biblical Studies from Tabernacle Bible College. He received a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) Degree from Jameson Christian College and a Doctorate in Education Administration (Ph.D.) from LaSalle University.

In addition to his varied pastoral duties, Dr. Steven V. Terry also serves as principal of the Tabernacle Christian Academy & Revelator Child Care Center, located in Norfolk, VA. This ministry of Christian training for ages 2½ -12th grade students resolves to meet the challenge of providing a well-rounded education within the boundaries of Christian principles taught in the Word of God. 

In the year 2000, Dr. Terry founded and continues to serve as President of the African Awareness Campaign (AAC), an all-volunteer foreign mission which particularly targets high poverty families in Africa. Contributions can be made at www.aac-aid.org.
